Basketball Recap: Mosinee Skates Past Antigo with Ease

Mosinee was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Antigo on Monday. The Mosinee Indians really took it to the Antigo Red Robins for the full four quarters, racking up an 80-40 victory. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mosinee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carson Balgord, who on his way to 22 points. Balgord is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 46% in the last five games he's played. Treve Stoffel was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and ten boards.

Mosinee has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 46 points. This is the second loss in a row for Antigo and nudges their season record down to 10-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mosinee will host Lakeland at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Mosinee's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten matchups. As for Antigo, they will welcome Tomahawk at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
