The Firelands Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Galion Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Firelands had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wellington 27-0 on the road.
Meanwhile, Galion got themselves on the board against Marion Harding on Friday, but Marion Harding never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 34-0 victory over the Presidents on the road. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Galion just coasted through the last quarter.
Gabe Ivy was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 185 yards and a touchdown. Jimmy Hardy also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Firelands is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Galion, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-3.
