Boyd is 2-8 against the Panthers since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Boyd Yellowjackets will be playing at home against the Paradise Panthers at 6:15 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Boyd has struggled recently with ten losses in a row, while the Panthers will arrive with four straight victories.
Last Tuesday, Boyd was beaten by the Rams 71-21. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Boyd in their matchups with the Rams: they've now lost seven in a row.
Meanwhile, Paradise can now show off 16 landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 86-23 win over Pilot Point at home. Paradise's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Paradise relied on the efforts of Channing Beauvais, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks, and Brittan Richey, who scored 19 points along with eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Richey has scored all season. Gazey Yates was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six steals.
Boyd has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 13 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Paradise, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 25-7 record this season.
Boyd was taken down by the Panthers 78-30 in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Yates, who went 7 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 0 assists. Now that Boyd knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
