Johnsonville has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Carvers Bay Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Johnsonville comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Friday, Johnsonville was beaten by the Bears 51-9. While losing is never fun, Johnsonville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Bears are ranked 100th).
Johnsonville dropped their record down to 1-12 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.0 points per game. As for Carvers Bay, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-8.
Johnsonville took a serious blow against the Bears in their previous meeting last Friday, falling 51-9. Can Johnsonville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
