SPRINGFIELD, Ga. - 
Glynn Academy (Brunswick, Ga.) pulled its record back up to .500 with its 21-12 victory over 
Effingham County (Springfield, Ga.) on Saturday.
After nabbing the lead on a touchdown, the Rebels went into halftime with a 13-6 lead. The Terrors scored the winning points with a touchdown that came in the first quarter.
Effingham County expanded its lead to 14 points entering the fourth quarter. EC scored once in the quarter on a touchdown run by 
Kemuan Tillman.
Coming into the game Glynn Academy had allowed 21.7 points per game this year.
The defeat comes as a step back for Effingham County, which notched a 41-40 victory over Jenkins in its previous outing. The win brought Glynn Academy's winning streak to three games.
Effingham County (5-3) goes up against Groves in a AAAAA Region 3 game matchup next week, while Glynn Academy (4-4) locks horns with Windsor Forest also in a AAAAA Region 3 game.
