The Millennium Falcons struggled with assists on Tuesday (the Stone Ridge Christian Knights had 15 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Millennium was outmatched by Stone Ridge Christian at home and fell 93-39. Millennium has not had much luck with Stone Ridge Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andre Saldate, who scored six points along with two blocks. Jae Shaun Phillips was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
Stone Ridge Christian found their leader in underclassman Daijon O?neil, who scored 24 points along with six assists and six steals. O?neil is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kassius Salazar, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Millennium dropped their record down to 6-18 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Stone Ridge Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millennium will challenge Elliot Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Millennium is facing Elliot Christian at the right time seeing as Elliot Christian is stuck on a 16-game losing streak. As for Stone Ridge Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Venture Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Stone Ridge Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
