Pen Argyl has gone a perfect 4-0 against Catasauqua recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Green Knights will welcome the Rough Riders at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pen Argyl has five straight victories, Catasauqua has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Pen Argyl proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by eight) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Southern Lehigh 4-2. While the Green Knights didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Jillian Bradley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Pen Argyl saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Talia Curtolo, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was Curtolo's first of the season.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Catasauqua's offense. They came up short against Wilson Area on Friday, falling 12-0. Rough Riders fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Warriors since on Friday.
Pen Argyl pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Catasauqua, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
Catasauqua's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Pen Argyl has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.4 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Catasauqua, though, as they've been averaging only 2.2 strikeouts. Will Pen Argyl keep running through batters, or will the Rough Riders buck the trend?
Everything went Pen Argyl's way against Catasauqua in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, as Pen Argyl made off with a 9-3 victory. Will the Green Knights repeat their success, or do the Rough Riders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
