Prospect hasn't had much luck against Christopher recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Prospect Panthers duke it out with Christopher Cougars at 4:00 p.m. Prospect is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.4 runs per game this season.
Prospect fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Saratoga on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 6-5.
Kendall Tabora spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Bella Beltran was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dani Rauscher, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for Christopher, as they earned their first road win of the season. They were the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over Del Mar on Friday. The Cougars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Alyssa Farrow was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Bella Loredo, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
The win got Christopher back to even at 2-2. As for Prospect, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Christopher's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Prospect has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .462. It's a different story for Christopher, though, as they've only averaged .333. Will they be able to contain Prospect's hitters?
Prospect might still be hurting after the 16-3 defeat they got from Christopher in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Prospect avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
