Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Reed City walked away with it. They breezed by Hart at home to the tune of 50-18. Given Reed City's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Hart is ranked 209th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Even though Bullock Creek has not done well against Chesaning recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Bullock Creek really took it to Chesaning for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-22 win on the road.
It was another big night for Bo Schwartz, who rushed for 253 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 17 yards and a touchdown. Zane Schwartz was another key contributor, gaining 91 total yards and three touchdowns.
Reed City's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Bullock Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
