The Fort Bragg Timberwolves were the 40-8 winner over the Lower Lake Trojans when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Fort Bragg and Lower Lake were almost perfectly matched up on Thursday, but Fort Bragg suffered an agonizing 21-20 loss.
When it comes to explaining why Fort Bragg lost, one person who can't be blamed is Beau Hebden. Despite the final result, he rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns.
Fort Bragg's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-1 Clear Lake and 8-2 Middletown (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 67.5% over those games). As for Lower Lake, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
Fort Bragg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lower Lake also has no future games currently scheduled.
