Even though the Jacobs Golden Eagles have not done well against the Cary-Grove Trojans recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Jacobs took down the Trojans 53-37. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Jacobs.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jacobs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nolan Roper, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Treval Howard, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Jacobs has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-14 record this season. As for Cary-Grove, they now have a losing record at 12-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jacobs will take on the Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dundee-Crown is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Cary-Grove, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gators at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Crystal Lake South will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
