The Calvary Lutheran Lions will stay at home for another game and welcome Jamestown at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Calvary Lutheran might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 55-33 to St. Louis HomeSchool P, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Calvary Lutheran was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-7.
Meanwhile, Jamestown pushed their score all the way to 59 last Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 76-59 bruising from Pilot Grove. Jamestown has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Calvary Lutheran has not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Jamestown, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Calvary Lutheran was able to grind out a solid win over Jamestown in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 47-38. Will Calvary Lutheran repeat their success, or does Jamestown have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
