Baseball Recap: Carthage's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Carthage waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Branson Pirates. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 4-0 win the Pirates walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Carthage's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Branson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Carthage wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 5-0 loss against Kickapoo on the 8th. As for Branson, they will face off against Parkview at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.14 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of.
