Zach Benedict was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 163 yards and two TDs on perfect 8-for-8 passing. Those two passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Tyler Wilson was in the mix as well, providing Hewitt-Trussville with two touchdowns.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. JAG will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Carver Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Hewitt-Trussville, they will challenge Gadsden City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
