Beacon got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Epps out in front who rushed for 101 yards and a pair of TDs. That's the most rushing yards Epps has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Delano Rigby Jr, who threw for 142 yards and one touchdown.
Beacon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Quincy Owens and Jah'Real Whitted. Whitted got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Roosevelt came up short against Marlboro Central on Friday and fell 25-12. The Presidents have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Although Roosevelt took the loss, they still got scores from Issa Kakish and Hudson Stehle.
Beacon's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
