Upper Moreland proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by six) but on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over New Hope-Solebury.
Abington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Upper Moreland, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Abington was able to grind out a solid victory over Upper Moreland when the teams last played back in April of 2023, winning 9-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Abington since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
