The El Dorado Aztecs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 56-49 to Pebble Hills. While losing is never fun, El Dorado can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 962nd, while Pebble Hills is ranked 305th).
When it comes to explaining why El Dorado lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jay Hudson. Despite the final result, he scored ten points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Rodriguez, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
El Dorado bumped their record down to 6-15 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Pebble Hills, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.
El Dorado will head out on the road to face off against Eastwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Eastwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday. As for Pebble Hills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Coronado at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Coronado focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday.
