The Badin Rams will take on the La Salle Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Badin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
Badin came out on top against St. Xavier on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run first inning. The Rams blew past the Bombers 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won 13 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Badin let Cooper Ollis and Kade Bowling run wild. Ollis went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Bowling went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave Ollis a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Austin Vangen, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Badin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .526. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, La Salle can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Xavier, sneaking past 7-5.
La Salle also got a great performance from Kellan Riesenbeck as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Riesenbeck has become a key player for the Lancers: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-7 otherwise.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Isaac Goldschmidt, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. La Salle is undefeated when Goldschmidt posts two or more runs, but 5-8 otherwise. Colin Bobowski was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one run.
Badin is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for La Salle, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
La Salle's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Badin has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .448. It's a different story for La Salle, though, as they've only averaged .347. Will they be able to contain Badin's hitters?
Badin took their win against La Salle in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-3 score. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Lancers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
