Ryan Deitelbaum Goes Supernova in Naugatuck Victory
Starting off the list is Naugatuck's Ryan Deitelbaum, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Deitelbaum rushed for 248 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.1 yards per carry. Those 248 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
The win for Naugatuck keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Deitelbaum and Naugatuck will challenge Gilbert/Northwestern/Housatonic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Brady Gambee Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Brady Gambee put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in November of 2023 on Friday. He rushed for 204 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.7 yards per carry, and also threw for 169 yards and three touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (104.2). He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 78-yard run.
This is the second loss in a row for Watertown and nudges their season record down to 2-2. Gambee and Watertown will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Gilbert/Northwestern/Housatonic at 1:00 p.m. on October 26th.

Another Game with at Least Three Passing Touchdowns from Drew Caouette
Drew Caouette continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fourth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least three passing touchdowns. He threw for 434 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Caouette is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Waterbury Career Academy on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Caouette saw the Spartans), he threw for 363 yards and five touchdowns while completing 80.6% of his passes.
