North Mesquite lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Chris Bendaw, who scored nine points along with six rebounds. Micah Vaughn was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
North Mesquite struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
North Mesquite's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Samuell, they pushed their record up to 17-6 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Mesquite will take on Conrad at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Conrad's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. As for Samuell, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against West Mesquite at 8:00 p.m. West Mesquite presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Samuell in Texas (West Mesquite is ranked 173rd, while Samuell is ranked 444th).
