FLEEK also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making two total tackles. Another back making a difference was Shaiden Snyder, who rushed for 58 yards and a touchdown.
He was just one part of a punishing run game: Woodlan was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 289 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southern Wells only rushed for 63.
Woodlan's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged six passes before it was all said and done. Cooper Smith led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by himself.
Jay County now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Woodlan, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3.
Jay County didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Woodlan when the teams last played back in September of 2023, but they still walked away with a 34-29 victory.
