Vidor has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Silsbee Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Vidor will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 571st, while Silsbee is ranked 142nd).
Vidor pushed their score all the way to 64 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 65-64 to West Orange-Stark. Vidor has not had much luck with West Orange-Stark recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Silsbee put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 104-55 victory over Bridge City on the road. The victory was nothing new for Silsbee as they're now sitting on four straight.
Jared Harris continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with nine steals. Harris is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Lamarcus Bottley jr was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five assists and four steals.
Vidor's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Silsbee, they pushed their record up to 18-9 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Vidor was taken down by Silsbee 102-60 in their previous meeting on January 2nd. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Harris, who scored 31 points along with six assists and six steals.
