The Charlotte Christian Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ravenscroft. While losing is never fun, Charlotte Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 325th, while Ravenscroft is ranked 128th).
Despite the defeat, Charlotte Christian saw an underclassman step up: Terence Guess scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Kabwe, who scored four points.
Charlotte Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Ravenscroft, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Charlotte Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against North Raleigh Christian Academy at 1:30 p.m. on January 6th.
