New Albany came out on top against South Pontotoc on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Bulldogs blew past the Cougars 10-0. The victory was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on three straight.
Landon Evans was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2025. Finn Willis was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Amory's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for New Albany, their victory bumped their record up to 17-6.
