Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elyria). They put the hurt on the Lorain Titans with a sharp 14-1 win on Saturday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 10-1.

Elyria's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3-1. As for Lorain, they have now lost five of their last six games on the road. That gives them a 3-3 record this season.

Elyria and Lorain could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Pioneers will challenge North Ridgeville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (#428 vs. #112). Meanwhile, Lorain (ranked 443rd) will meet Brunswick (ranked 118th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
