Covington-Douglas won the last time they faced Waynoka and things went their way on Friday too. The Wildcats were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Railroaders. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Covington-Douglas and bumps their season record up to 13-7. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 4-12 Coyle and 6-9 Waynoka. As for Waynoka, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Looking ahead, Covington-Douglas will host Waukomis at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Chiefs will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Waynoka, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-8 win against Coyle on the 19th.
