Stubbs Made His Presence Known in Bell's 37-13 Victory
Starting off the list is Bell's Erick Stubbs, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Stubbs rushed for 283 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 92-yard run.
This season, Stubbs has run in 22 touchdowns while averaging 222.5 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 104.13 rushing yards per game.

The victory (which was Garfield's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. Reyes and Garfield will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Roosevelt at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.

Edward Rivera Goes Supernova in South East Win
Edward Rivera's rushing tear continued on Thursday as he dropped his seventh-straight game with 119+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 168 yards while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced two fumbles and made ten total tackles (1.0 for loss).
Unfortunately for Roosevelt, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Rivera. Rivera rushed for 210 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry the last time he and the Rough Riders duked it out back in September of 2023.

South Gate Comes Up Short Despite Huge Game from Underclassman Nicholas Fonseca
While South Gate couldn't topple Garfield on Thursday, it's impossible to ignore the impact made by underclassman Nicholas Fonseca. Fonseca was unstoppable, picking up 170 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
South Gate now has a losing record at 3-4. Fonseca will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on South East on Friday.
