Last Monday, Garfield Community Learning Center's game was all tied up 15-15 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They snuck past Buckeye with a 36-30 win.
Meanwhile, Buchtel came up short against Ellet on Thursday and fell 55-42. While losing is never fun, Buchtel can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 494th, while Ellet is ranked 230th).
Garfield Community Learning Center's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Buchtel, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Garfield Community Learning Center might still be hurting after the 52-27 defeat they got from Buchtel in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Garfield Community Learning Center avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
