The Morgan Trojans won the last time they faced the Ogden Tigers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Morgan came out on top against Ogden by a score of 51-43.
Leading Morgan to victory were Kaydence Wardell and Abby Titus. Wardell scored nine points along with eight assists and eight steals, while Titus scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Titus has scored all season. Eva Birkeland was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
Ogden lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Salote Tonga, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ruth Larsen, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Morgan's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-10. As for Ogden, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morgan will take on Grantsville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grantsville is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59 points per game. As for Ogden, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully South Summit focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
