Softball Recap: Waterloo Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

It's playoff time, and Waterloo had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Brilliant Tigers a 10-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Cougars have won 12 contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Clara Lambert was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Sarah Allen was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Waterloo's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 24-14. As for Brilliant, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.

As of now, neither Waterloo nor Brilliant have any future games scheduled.
