The Broome Centurions won the last time they faced the Chapman Panthers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Broome enjoyed a cozy 66-47 victory over Chapman. The win made it back-to-back wins for Broome.
Broome's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ja'Coreyun Broadus led the charge by scoring 20 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Xavier Hill, who scored 20 points along with two steals.
Chapman's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Rashawn Cunningham, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and two steals, and Colt Mcallister who scored 11 points along with two steals. Cunningham has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Hawken Smith was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Broome's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-10. As for Chapman, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.
Broome will be playing at home against Travelers Rest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chapman, they will head out on the road to challenge Carolina Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
