When it comes to explaining why Memorial Day lost, one person who can't be blamed is McKenzie King. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. King has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlotte Simon, who scored 8 points along with 8 rebounds.
The victory got Thomas Heyward Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Memorial Day, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

As for Memorial Day, they will head out on the road to face off against Beach at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Beach presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Memorial Day in Georgia (Beach is ranked 156th, while Memorial Day is ranked 419th).
