Baseball Recap: Grandview Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

There's no place like home for Grandview, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They put the hurt on the Harmon Hawks with a sharp 15-1 win on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their one-run performance the game before.

Kaden Daniels made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Daniels was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

In other batting news, Jackson Ransom was a standout: he scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Terry, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.

Grandview moved to 2-5 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Harmon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Grandview has already played their next match (against Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Harmon, they will head out on the road to square off against Washington at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harmon is facing Washington at the right time seeing as Washington is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
