The Wood Memorial Trojans and the Trinity Lutheran Cougars will face off at 1:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Wood Memorial will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wood Memorial had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They took down the Eagles 45-31.
Meanwhile, even though Rising Sun scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, Trinity Lutheran still came out on top. Trinity Lutheran walked away with a 67-58 victory over Rising Sun. The victory was nothing new for Trinity Lutheran as they're now sitting on three straight.
Jordan Brewer had a dynamite game for Trinity Lutheran, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. It was the first time this season that Brewer pulled down eight or more rebounds. Liza Froedge was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with two blocks.
Wood Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season. As for Trinity Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 14-11.
