Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Mountain Ridge Miners, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were the victim of a rough 45-21 loss at the hands of the Sentinels on Saturday. Mountain Ridge's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Mountain Ridge still got an impressive performance from Austin Frost, who rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
Jabril Daniels was his usual excellent self, rushing for 304 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 14.5 yards per carry for Fort Hill. Daniels was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 64 yards.
Mountain Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Fort Hill, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.
Mountain Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Fort Hill also has no future games currently scheduled.
