Landon Walker Delivers Best  Performance of Season
  Landon Walker produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Woodward Academy to the win  on Friday. Walker threw for 356 yards and four touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
 The  victory (which was Woodward Academy's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-3. Walker and Woodward Academy will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Decatur at 7:30  p.m.  on October 25th.

Josiah Abdullah Turns in Season-Best  Performance
 Woodward Academy was led to victory by  Josiah Abdullah, who turned in his biggest game of the season  on Friday. Abdullah picked up 173 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 69 yards.
 For the year,  Abdullah  has caught 8 touchdowns while averaging 78.5 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season,  he was only averaging 45  receiving yards per game.

Royal Weber Puts an End to Shiloh's Losing Streak  on Wednesday
 Shiloh's ten-game losing streak  dating back to last season is now nothing but a memory thanks in part to  Royal Weber. Weber produced his best game of the campaign  on Wednesday: he picked up  two  sacks and made ten total tackles (4.0 for loss). He is  on a roll when it comes to  total tackles, as he's  now  made five or more in the last 15 games he's  played dating back to last season.
 Shiloh's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. Their homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Arabia Mountain at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.

A Constellation of Stars for Woodward Academy
 Another Woodward Academy player making an appearance on this list is  Jerome Bettis. He picked up 102 receiving yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 53 yards.
 For the season,  Bettis  has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 47.1 receiving yards per game. He's  made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year,  he had one  receiving touchdown.

A Season-Best  Effort from  Marlin Mathis Leads Shiloh over Chamblee
  Marlin Mathis helped snap Shiloh's ten-game losing streak  dating back to last season. Mathis turned in his biggest game of the season on Wednesday, rushing for 132 yards and two touchdowns.
 For the year,  Mathis  has run in 5 touchdowns while averaging 95.2 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season,  he had one  rushing touchdown.
