Kickapoo is 4-0 against Carthage since December of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The two teams will round out the year against one another at 11:00 a.m. at. Kickapoo is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Kickapoo pushed their score all the way to 61 last Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Battle by a score of 63-61. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Kickapoo came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Battle is ranked 82nd).
Meanwhile, Carthage was able to grind out a solid victory over Nevada last Thursday, taking the game 46-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Carthage.
Kickapoo's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-1. As for Carthage, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
Kickapoo took their win against Carthage in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 64-40. Will Kickapoo repeat their success, or does Carthage have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
