Wayland came into Saturday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They won by a set and slipped past the Hopkins Vikings 2-1. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Wayland's victory bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Hopkins, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8-2.
