The Heritage Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Regis Jesuit Raiders at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Heritage came out on top against Douglas County on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Eagles skirted past the Huskies 6-4. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.

James Kellogg was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Heritage is 4-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 7-9-1 otherwise. Kellogg was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, James Long was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.
Regis Jesuit let Rock Canyon stack 11 runs on them in the second inning on Monday but luckily Regis Jesuit prevailed anyway. The Raiders had just enough and edged out the Jaguars 15-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Raiders have posted since April 15th.
Finn Judge tossed a big game, pitching 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jacob Olson, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-5. Hudson Alpert was another key player, going 4-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two doubles.
Regis Jesuit was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in 14 consecutive contests.
Regis Jesuit's record is now 17-4. As for Heritage, they now have a winning record of 11-10-1.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Heritage hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Regis Jesuit struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.3 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Heritage suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Regis Jesuit in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
