She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  four innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   three  hits. Erb has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Erb was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with a  double.
 In other batting news,  Annika Smith was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, four  runs,  and five  RBI while going 3-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more  hits the last four times she's  played.  Kailee Bishop was another key contributor,  going 4-for-4 with a  home run, four  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Frontier's offense. They lost  10-0 to Benton Central on Monday.
 Frontier saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Summer Kremer, who  went 1-for-3 with a  double.
 West Central's win  ended  a  four-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 12-5. As for Frontier, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.
Frontier's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  West Central has been making plenty of contact this season,  having  averaged 10.5  hits per game. It's a different story for Frontier, though, as  they've been averaging 10. Given West Central's sizable advantage in that area, Frontier will need to find a way to close that gap.
 West Central took their  victory against Frontier  when the teams last played  back in May of 2023 by a conclusive  11-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Central since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
