Softball Recap: Niles North Victorious

Niles North won the last time they faced Lincoln Park and things went their way on Saturday too. The Vikings came out on top against the Lions by a score of 8-5.

Sophia Espinoza was excellent, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Amaya Kang, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

Niles North's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Lincoln Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Niles North will host Maine West at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lincoln Park, they will welcome Von Steuben at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
