The Northside Christian Mustangs will take on the Foundation Christian Academy Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.
Northside Christian barely beat Indian Rocks Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs blew past the Eagles 12-1 on Monday. Considering the Mustangs have won six matchups by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Hanley Medina made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, Macy SMith was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Maiya Busch, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.
Northside Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Foundation Christian Academy got themselves on the board against Santa Fe Catholic on Monday, but Santa Fe Catholic never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 10-0 victory. Foundation Christian Academy's win was all the more impressive since the Hawks were averaging only 3.6 runs allowed on the season.
Like Northside Christian, Foundation Christian Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Makayla Howard. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Howard was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
In other batting news, Kiptynn Barron was incredible, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3. McKay Barron was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.
Northside Christian pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Foundation Christian Academy, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 10-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Northside Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Foundation Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Northside Christian skirted past Foundation Christian Academy 12-11 in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
