The Ouachita Christian Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Southern Lab Kittens at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ouachita Christian comes in on five and Southern Lab on nine.
With a playoff game on the line, Ouachita Christian rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Tigers 56-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Ouachita Christian, who have now won ten contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
Zachary White was a one-man wrecking crew for Ouachita Christian as he rushed for 106 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries. Ouachita Christian also got a significant boost from Makin Lenard, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 87 yards.
Meanwhile, Southern Lab can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 35-0 win over Central Catholic. Given Southern Lab's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Central Catholic is ranked 138th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ouachita Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 49.67 points. As for Southern Lab, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.
Ouachita Christian suffered a grim 38-14 defeat to Southern Lab in their previous meeting back in December of 2021. Can Ouachita Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
