It was a good run, but the Enterprise Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Union by a score of 48-45. Enterprise has not had much luck with Union recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Enterprise's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Whitley Harris, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of emma hill, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Enterprise's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-9. As for Union, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Enterprise will square off against Kemper County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Kemper County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Enterprise in Mississippi (Kemper County is ranked 105th, while Enterprise is ranked 241st). As for Union, they will head out on the road to face off against Sebastopol at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
