Corrigan-Camden is 3-0 against Groveton since September of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Groveton Indians at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Corrigan-Camden never let their opponents score. They breezed by West Hardin at home to the tune of 43-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Corrigan-Camden just coasted through the last quarter.
Among those leading the charge was Michael Sullivan, who threw for 232 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes. Another player making a difference was Tony Cooper, who picked up 122 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Groveton put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 56-19 win over Normangee. The victory was just what Groveton needed coming off of a 43-15 defeat in their prior matchup.
Corrigan-Camden has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season. As for Groveton, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Everything came up roses for Corrigan-Camden against Groveton in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 45-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Corrigan-Camden since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
