Florence was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Central Texas Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.
Despite the defeat, Florence saw an underclassman step up: Emerson Herring scored 13 points. The match was Herring's third in a row with at least ten points.
Central Texas Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emmy Frazier led the charge by scoring 11 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Liz Burt, who scored 12 points.
Florence's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Central Texas Christian, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
