Saegertown has gone 9-1 against Cambridge Springs recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Panthers will square off against the Devils at 3:00 p.m. Saegertown is coming into the game hot, having won their last 11 games.
While Saegertown's victory against Rocky Grove wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Orioles on Saturday. The four-run effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Tyler Cherpak made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Saegertown let William Shaffer and Luke Young run wild. Shaffer got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run, while Young got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Shaffer is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Wilkinson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Cambridge Springs came up short against Rocky Grove last Wednesday and fell 10-5.
Like Saegertown, Cambridge Springs also got a great game from a two-way player: Brett Kania. On the mound, he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Kania was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Cambridge Springs' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1-1 (and 1-5 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Matthew Ross made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Brandon Hoover also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Cambridge Springs' loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Saegertown, their record now sits at 12-1.
Cambridge Springs' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Saegertown hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .408. It's a different story for Cambridge Springs, though, as they've only averaged .256. Will they be able to contain Saegertown's hitters?
Everything went Saegertown's way against Cambridge Springs in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Saegertown made off with a 17-1 victory. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
