The Riverdale Warriors had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They really took it to Green Hill for the full four quarters, racking up a 50-13 win at home. Winning may never get old, but Riverdale sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Braden Graham looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 375 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Verser, who rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown.
Riverdale pushed their record up to 10-2 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.0 points per game. As for Green Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.
Riverdale will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cookeville at 7:00 p.m. Cookeville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Green Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
