The Van Horn Eagles's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Rankin Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Hopefully Van Horn focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Van Horn didn't have too much trouble with Fort Hancock on the road as they won 44-28.
Isayell Flores was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Van Horn's points. Another player making a difference was Orlando Zamora, who scored 10 points.
Meanwhile, Rankin couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost to McCamey at home by a decisive 50-34 margin on Tuesday.
Their wins bumped Van Horn to 4-3 and Fort Hancock to 5-4.
Van Horn was taken down by Rankin 80-37 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Van Horn avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
