Clark Montessori hasn't had much luck against Miami Valley Christian Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Lions at 5:00 p.m. Clark Montessori is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.
Clark Montessori took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand North College Hill a 16-0 shutout. The Cougars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Rowan Sierschula made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Sierschula was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Chase Williams was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Garvin Dixon, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Clark Montessori always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Miami Valley Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They had just enough and edged out Seven Hills 5-3.
The team relied heavily on Micah Johnson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Gavin French, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
The victory got Clark Montessori back to even at 2-2. As for Miami Valley Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Miami Valley Christian Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Clark Montessori hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315.
